
Comparative analysis report
This first review of experiences of crime observatories designed to gather information available in the organization around key issues. It was conducted in support of the 1st international meeting on the observatories of crime, organized jointly by the ICPC, the National Crime Observatory (INHES) and the Inter-ministerial Delegation to the City of France, with the support of Embassy of Canada in France and Embassy of France in Canada and the General Consulate of France in Quebec and the Quebec Delegation in Paris. The term "observatory" is used in a broad sense which includes organizations that identify, analyze and publish data on crime. These organizations can be local, regional or provincial, national or supranational and cover all of the crime or one or more subject areas.
